Adiyan Alausa ACDC Youth Wing holds get together party in grand style

Adiyan Alausa Area Community Development Committee (CDC) Youth Wing under the leadership of Comrade Taofeeq Adebesin popularly called TFK celebrated their annual get together party in grand style. The get together party that took place on Sunday, 13th of December at Mudashir Farm has community and youth leaders in attendance which include; Rev. (Dr.) J. B.. Adesola (Chairman, Adiyan Alausa Area CDC), HRH, Engr. E. O. Soetan (Patron, Adiyan Alausa Area CDC), Comrade Yusuf Omidokun (Youth Leader, Ope Ilu Area CDC), Comrade Olusoji Olowu (Youth Leader, Matogbun Area CDC), Comrade Bolaji (Youth Leader, Ishaga Agbado Area CDC), Comrade Faruq Shitta (PRO 2, NYCN, Ogun Chapter), Comrade Obasa (Youth Leader, Olambe Area CDC), as well as Comrade Mary Anne from Lions Club.

Adiyan Alausa Area CDC Youth Leader, Comrade Taofeeq Adebesin in his opening remarks said the get together is meant to bring the youths of the community together in order to make meaningful development in the community. He also admonished the youths to always work together in love saying this is what can make the community better. He then appeal for their support for meaningful development in Adiyan Alausa Area CDC.

Comrade Yusuf Omidokun, who is also the chairman of Youths Leaders in Agbado axis in his speech applauded Comrade Taofeeq Adebesin and his team for organizing such educative and entertaining programme saying is a great task to bring youths together. He said despite the fact that this is a get together party, it is also necessary to educate one another. Omidokun then rolled out the role of the youths in community development.

Adiyan Alausa Area CDC Chairman, Rev. (Dr.) J. B. Adesola while addressing the youths, commended them for coming together to move their community forward. He urged them to know their values saying undervaluing oneself will lead to low worth. “Your future destiny is rightly placed in your hand, you are the one to decide if you want to move forward or not. My father did not support me enough or the economy is bad is not an excuse at this point,” Rev. Adesola asserted.

He then admonished the youths to remain United and develop attitude towards the essentials. “There is plenty of opportunities in youths coming together, your coming together can do a lot for you more than what an individual can do. Develop your attitude towards the essentials and leave the irrelevant things, participate actively in community development and don’t allow yourself to be use as thug, don’t allow any security personnel to mess you up, they mess you up, if you mess yourself up,” Rev. Adesola added.
The Patron of the Area CDC, HRH Engr. E. O.. Soetan urges the youths to always have plan for their future. His words: “We are are youths, we should plan for tomorrow, how will tomorrow be, where will I be in a day time, in a week time, in a month, in 2 years, 3 years, 5 years, where should I be, where do I want to be, how will I get there, what are the paths I need to follow, what and what do I need to do to get to that point. That should be primary things in our heart as youths. When you wake up in the morning, think about it, when you are working on the street, think about it, whatever you are doing, think about it.

Comrade Faruq Shitta, PRO 2, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ogun State Chapter admonished the youths to acquire 21st century skills in order to remain relevant in the society saying gone are those days when white collar jobs are readily available adding that what one can do with his or her hands and brain is what matter in this era.

Comrade Olusoji Olowu, Youth Leader, Matogbun Area CDC urged the youths to speak in one voice, one language, one mission and one vision. He then commended Adiyan Alausa Area CDC Youth Leader for a well done job saying for him to bring this number of youths together shows that he has been communicating well with the youths, which means he is a good leader because someone can’t be a good leader without being a good follower.

Comrade Mary Anne in her speech urged the youths to see themselves as agent of change that will believe that change begin with them.

Comrade Obasa, the Olambe Area CDC Youth Leader said the role of youths in the community is to develop the community, to know one another better in order to build a formidable society and to speak in one voice.

Comrade Adekunle in his speech commended Comrade Taofeeq for a well done job adding that coming together of the youths is to enable everyone of them to contribute his or her quota to community development and admonished the youths of the Area CDC to support Comrade Taofeeq in his effort to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of Adiyan Alausa Area CDC.

Other activities at the event include; singing, dancing, networking as well as free recharge card give away.

Comrade Taofeeq in his appreciation message, appreciated this that contributed one way or the other to the success of the event. He said: “Our Heartfelt Appreciation goes to all youths within and beyond Adiyan Alausa for your support, kindness and attendance towards Youth Get Together slated for 13th Dec 2020. Words can’t appreciate you enough, you all are indeed a rock to lean on.
