The event was organized as part of an awareness drive headed by the Representatives of the Organization (A.Y.M) and Dopemu youths.

Young ladies and women within the age bracket of 15 – 35 attended the meeting where Miss Feyi Fabiyi, Miss Ikejiobi Vera Chidera and Mr Shasanya Akinola interacted with them on healthy Menstrual Practices and gave out sanitary kits to the young ladies and women.

They suggested the use of at least 3 to 4 pads a day during mensuration and asked not to use cloths or tissues which may not be hygienic and safe to use.

An awareness against rape on girls and boys was done during the meeting, Mr Shasanya Akinola discussed with the residents on the increase of rape cases across the federation and the need for the residents to stand up and speak out against rape most especially on the girl child, He made mention on the need to stand against gender based violence and shun every form of sexual violence and abuse on the girl child especially.

The representative appreciated Dopemu Youth Group and the Community Development Association (C.D.A) for their assistance towards making the program a success and assured the community of more programs that will be of benefits to everyone and the community at large.
