ALI, DA Champion sensitize women on political apathy, distribute relief materials

In a bid to discourage political apathy in the grassroot, especially among the women folks and youth, a non governmental organisation known as Adetutu Leadership Initiative (ALI) in conjunction with DA Champion has organized a sensitisation program tagged Grassroot Initiatives Project For Women and Youth with the theme Sensitising Grassroot Women Against Political Apathy in 2023 election.

The event which was held on Friday, 9th of December at Rock Plaza, Oke Aro, was well attended by political leaders such as; Alhaji Lasisi, Chief Taiwo, Hon. Johnson Ogunleye, Madam Oshifo, Chief Ariyo, Baba Elegbede, Mrs. Olagunju (Former, Vice Chairman, Agbado – Oke Aro LCDA) as well as Amb. Paul Olayemi (President, YAPI Foundation).

The Founder of Adetutu Leadership Initiative (ALI), Mrs. Adetutu Adekanye in an interview with our correspondent said the program is meant to encourage in house politicians who have been struggling to contribute to Asiwaju mandate and to discourage grassroot people from political apathy.

She however added that the program will imbibe leadership value and political participation mindset in the participants, which will encourage everyone to get involved in politics and nation building.

She then admonished the beneficiaries of the program to shun political apathy and get actively involved in politics for a better society.

Some of the beneficiaries who could not hide their feelings have these to say.

“I appreciate the organizers of the program and I pray that all their principals will emerge winners in the forthcoming general election,” Rebecca Adekunle said.

Another beneficiary, Mrs. Odewande from Adiyan Alausa appreciate the organizers for their kind gesture for organising such wonderful program and pray that God will grant them all their heart desires and all APC candidates will win in the 2023 election.
