Community agog as Alhaja Kenny installed Iya Adeen of Legun Central Mosque (Photos)
July 12, 2022, was indeed a joyous and historical day for Ere family in particular and Legun Town in general as Alhaja Mariam Kehinde Ere popularly called Alhaja Kenny installed as Iya Adeen of Legun Central Mosque. The event which was held at Legun Community Primary School was well attended by friends, family, and associates of Ere family both at home and abroad.
The Guest Lecturer, Shaykh Musa Raji while delivering his lecture applauded the latest Iya Adeen in town for her contributions to Islam as well as Legun Town. He, however, admonished her not to relent in her contributions to Islam and the community.
He said the title bestowed on her is a very paramount and great one in Islam and urged her to make use of the title judiciously. According to the lecturer, there are 2 categories of people entitled to Islamic titles; the first category of people will work so hard to achieve the title using Prophet Ibrahim as a case study when Almighty Allah directed him to build Kab’ah before he was given the title of Imam. While other categories of people are like Prophet Sulaimon who Allah awarded without assigning any special task to him. He said Alhaja Kenny deserves the title because she has contributed tremendously to the growth and development of Islam in Legun Town and urged her not to relent in her contributions to the growth and development of Legun and Islam.
