In a bid to reduce the suffering of their members as economic activities has being paralysed due to the stay at home order by the Federal Government due to Coronavirus pandemic, a Community Development Association in Maya, Ikorodu North LCDA of Lagos State known as Idafa Irepodun CDA has organized a free breakfast and distribution of food items for it members.
The Secretary of the CDA, Barrister Olusoji Daomi who disclose this to Community Gist said 2 members of the community who don’t want their names in print in conjunction with the CDA, under the leadership of Mr. Femi Akinpelu JP came up with the palliative measure in order to alleviate the hunger recently experience because of Covid-19 syndrome.
“The motive behind the distribution was as a result of the lockdown occasioned by the Covid-19 pandemic in the world. The lockdown created hardship in the state because economic activities were paralysed. The residents were full of praises for the palliative, though we would have appreciate government support in this regard in the community. Many lives were torched during the breakfast session of today.” Barrister Olusoji added.
Items distributed were: Golden Penny Noddles, garri packed with groundnut mixed with milk, pap with moi-moi and a live chicken.
