Dapo Abiodun Misses Matogbun, Lambe, Adiyan others due to security reports – Fasco Media

Fasco Media, the media team of Hon Fatiu Folawewo Salami, All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ogun State House of Assembly, Ifo constituency 2 has taken to social media to explain why Dapo Abiodun, the party governorship candidate fails to visit Matogbun and other communities when he toured Ifo constituency 2 on Monday.

Part of the statement reads: “the governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun, Prince (Dr) Dapo Abiodun, MFR on Monday visited Ifo constituency 2 where he vowed to tour the whole constituency so as to witness the hardship people are going through by transversing the major roads that needs urgent attention and also to hear concerns of people as regard governance in Ifo constituency 2.

“While the governor toured Isheri, Kara, Ojodo-Abiodun, Akute, Ajuwon, Jolasco, Lambe, Oke-Aro, Agbado and other neighbouring towns where he was able to table his manifestos that centred on greater development most especially on provision of good road networks, health care centres, provision of new schools and equitable distribution of resources among others, if elected.

“He was unable to visit Lambe inside, Matogun town, Adiyan, Ijoko Lemode, Ibaragun,Sunre and Ososun, where people were already waited for him.

“This was unconnected with the reports from security personnel which got to the governor and prompted the change of plan, it was privy that the visit should be aborted due to security reports and timing as it was already late for the governor to tour these areas as it was already late before the governor arrived Lambe junction.

“The governor had insisted that he would atleast visit and let them know that he cares for all and and as such have made the sacrifice to visit them just to let them know he’s ready to make Ogun a state of reference but from security experts privy to the incoming governor who insisted not to be mentioned said they told the governor if he insist on the visit at this hour, they can’t assure him of his safety because it was already late and it wasn’t a major road that is known its a bypass as such he obliged to their advise.

“Also a source from the stable of Dapo Abiodun said the governor was impressed by the massive welcome he received in Ifo constituency 2 today especially from the Palace of Adimula Onisheri of Isheri, to kara where the hausa community crowd was overwheming, to Agbado where he made a stop to his tour at the Alagbado of Agbado palace. He’s even considering to see if he can tour the remain part of the constituency if the odds are good and security is assured, he was indeed very concerned about other places he never visited.”
