Maidan was put on standstill as a prominent Islamic cleric and singer, Sheik Ismail Aderemi T. K aka Alfamini held fidau prayer for his late wife, Alhaja Rahmatallah Omoladun who died on 7the of January, 2019.
The event which took place on Tuesday at Muslim Praying Ground (Yidi), Maidan Town had several dignitaries within and outside the community in attendance, which include Shiek Kareem Yisau (Chief Imam of Maidan Town), Sheik Musa, represent Mudir, Moricas, Agege, Sheik Kamil Al-Awwal Garu, Alhaji Lookman Garu (CEO, Garu Tech), Sheik Mustapha (Pelepele) as well as Alhaji Abdul Kabir Alayande (Ere Asalatu).
The event was kicked start with an opening prayer, followed by reading from the Holy Qur’an. Afterwards, Islamic scholars in attendance read complete Qur’an to seek forgiveness and blessing for the deceased from Almighty Allah.
The Guest Lecturer, Sheik Abdul Ganiy (Itakure) while delivering his lecture that majorly centred on appraisal of the deceased said the deceased was a woman of virtues, adding that there is no woman that can replace her in her husband’s heart. He also admonished the children of the deceased not to feel too bad, that they should see it as the will of Almighty Allah and pray that Allah grant them and their father the fortitude to bear the loss. He also admonished the family members not to neglect the children after their mum death.
Alhaji Abdul Kabir Alayande (Ere Asalatu) also describe the deceased as a very good wife and mother and pray that Almighty Allah forgive her of all her shortcomings.
Alhaja Rahmatallah Omoladun died at the age of 48 and was survived by husband, children and grandchildren.
