Fola Salami commends Gov. Abiodun over the commencement of work on long abandoned 32km Ojodu-Sango Road
Erstwhile chairman of Ifo local government and the house of assembly candidate in Ifo II state constituency under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Fatiu Folawewo Salami has commended governor Dapo Abiodun, MFR for approving the full reconstruction of the 32km Ojodu Abiodun – Akute – Okearo – Agbado – Ijoko -Sango road which had been abandoned before 2019 by the previous administration.
Hon. Salami thanked governor Abiodun for the approval, stating that the step will ensure that the most populated corridor in Ogun state which also borders Lagos will have a better facelift with the promise made that 8.5km will be worked on from Ota end and 1.5km will be worked on from Lagos end with both ends completed before the end of 2022.
The former chairman said quick order and approval to mobilize contractors to the site will complement the ongoing construction of the 2.1km Agbado-Toyin road linking Lagos and the 4.6km Ojodu-Denro-Ishashi-Akute road when the work begins on a full-scale.
Hon. Salami also thanked Governor Abiodun for nominating Hon. Adijat Motunrayo Adeleye-Oladapo as a commissioner saying that this will be the first time someone from the Ifo II state constituency will be nominated to occupy the office of the commissioner. “This itself shows that the governor is attentive to the plight and yearnings of the people of Ifo especially Ifo II in terms of physical infrastructure and proper representation” he ended.
