I will dump ADP for APC if elected – Alao Akala
The former governor of Oyo State, Otunba Christopher Alao Akao who recently jettisoned his governorship ambition on the platform of Action Democratic Party (ADP) to join the All Progressives Congress (APC), said if elected, he elected on the platform of ADP, he will definitely dump the party (ADP) for APC.
Akala stated this in an interactive session on Parrot FM, which was monitored by our correspondent.
“I will decamp to APC if elected on the platform of ADP because if you belong to the ruling party, you enjoy more dividend of democracy. We need to join the ruling party. If I am elected on the platform of ADP, I will not just sit and fold my arms, I will join the Federal Government party because that is where we can benefit, I will definitely decamp to APC.”
“Recall that I joined People’s Democratic Party (PDP) after becoming Local Government Chairman. I did that in order for Ogbomosho to enjoy dividend of democracy. We need to be dynamic, in order not to get trapped.”
Akala also said he join APC for the betterment of Ogbomosho in particular and Oyo State in general. His word “There is nothing I am looking for other than Ogbomosho and Oyo State development. Anyone, especially the young ones that don’t understand my motive should as questions instead of spreading rumours or fake news.”
The former governor also pledged to support the House of Assembly candidates of ADP. “I have join APC but I will support House of Assembly candidates of ADP both morally and financially.”
