Maidan, Matogbun and Environs rejoice with Garu Family as they name the newest member of the family

Family, friends and associates of Garu family near and afar came out in their large numbers to rejoice with Alhaji Khalifah Kamil Al-Awwal Garu, Khalifah Sheik Muhammed Awwal Garu as he name his new baby boy.

The naming ceremony that took place on 8th of February, 2019 at Khalifah Kamil residence in Maidan had several dignitaries as well as Islamic scholars in attendace, which Chief Imam of Matogbun Town, Chief Imam of Maidan Towm, Shiek Abdul Ganiy, Shiek Nurudeen Kewulere, as well Sheik Lookman (Al-Imekowiy).

The event was kicked start with an opening prayer, followed by recitation from the Holy Quran. Afterward, praises and prayers were offer to the noble prophet Muhammed (SAW).

Sheik Abdul Wahab Almiskin Bilah who announced the name of the baby boy in his speech admonished everyone to be loyal to their leader in whatever field they found themselves. Afterward, he announced that the baby boy will be known as Abubakr Sidiq
