OGHA 2019: Fola Salami flag off campaign

The candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) contesting for the post of member Ogun State House of Assembly, Ifo constituency 2, Hon. Fola Folawewo Salami aka Agbara Ifo flag off his campaign.

The event which was put together by members of the party in Yewande axis of the constituency was well attended by the members and leaders of the party, royal fathers, community leaders as well as members of the public took place on Sunday, 2nd of December, 2018 at Yewande.

Several political icons and Baales in the constituency are sighted at the event and they all declared their support for the candidate.

Dr. Adekunle, chairman of the occasion and leader of Yewande axis in his welcome address appreciated all the royal fathers, political leaders, CDA and CDC members in attendance. He also commended the organizers of the event for a well done job.

“I am highly delighted that the candidate that will represent our constituency was elected from this axis because this has not happen before in the history of our axis. I urge everyone of you to vote Fola Salami come 2019. Hon. Fola Salami has some virtues that many people don’t know but I know him, his virtues including honesty and goal getting,” he added.

The vice chairman of APC Oke Aro/Ibaragun ward 7, Comrade Kayode while addressing the audience said: “I am here to join Hon. Fola Salami, if you don’t belong here you have to belong here. There is no way you have to be at the middle. Where we are now, victory is sure, victory is certain. By God’s grace, come 2019, Hon. Fola Salami is our next House of Assembly. Is only comrade that you see but we are many. We are here to see what is happening but I am convince. Our leader, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru that I worked for as governorship aspirant when he contested before we join Dapo had instructed us to join Dapo group and they are doing Fola in my ward, so I have to be with them.

“We need to be very careful because there are enemy within, if surely we are for Dapo let us know, anyone that is not interested should leave. I believe all of us here are for APC not APM. I urge you to stay in the party because those that want to destroy the party has left. I believe we are battle ready in Oke Aro/Ibaragun ward, we are battle ready for them, we are ready, they should collect whatever they gave us, we can’t die of hunger.”

Fatai Adetona, Secretary, Ogun Core Mandate Group said he and his colleagues will be coming to declare their support for Hon. Fola publicly. “On behalf of my colleagues within all the wards in constituency 2, I am assuring you that you will have our support. Don’t worry to give us money, we will spend our money. When it is time to make our money, Fola will not run away from us. I urge everyone of you to come out in large numbers on election day to cast your vote for Fola.”

Alhaja Korodo also urge the people to support and vote Fola. “Myself and my family, Alhaji Korodo, who is the Senatorial Chairman of Buhari Campaign Team, we are fully in support of Fola come 2019. I also want to use this medium to admonish Hon. Fola to carry women along,” she added.

Hon. Fola Salami while delivering his declaration of interest promised to carry all the party members along and to remain humble to the leaders of the party. Part of his speech reads: “As a youth with focus, I will never come back or return or turn around to look at the elders in the face; than to take advise and act with God’s wisdom. My leaders, your period of waiting has ended. I will accept to actualize our desire dreams. I dream to carry all members of the party along without leaving anyone behind. The time has come to do things together and yes we can do it together. Our victory will signal a new path of political movement towards a positive, radical, psychological change in the mind of our people and entire Ogun State citizens with political aspiration and vision. I make this clarion call to you all to rise up and let us work towards this common goal of bringing the beauty of this democracy to our grassroot. This is our call, this is our pride. Support and vote Hon. Salami Fatiu Folawewo for Ogun State House of Assembly, Ifo Constituency 2.”

Alhaji Adebeshin admonish the member to remain steadfast, adding that the candidate of the party, Hon. Fola Salami will emerge winner come March 2nd 2019 when the election will take place.
