Olambe ACDC bid IKEDC Undertaking Manager farewell

The Olambe Area Community Development Committee (CDC) under the leadership of Comrade Ganiu Omolade has bid Engr. Simeon Adunmo, the Undertaking Manager of Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (IKEDC) in Olambe a farewell as his been transfer to another location within the company network.

In the farewell note, Olambe Area CDC thank God for Engr. Adunmo’s life for the period served in their community. The note read partly: “On behalf of Olambe Area CDC and its environs and Chief Host of IKEDC Olambe Undertaking, we thank God for the live of Engr Adunmo for the period serving as Undertaking manager here in Olambe.
“You were posted here for peace and transferred peacefully. I pray that God Almighty will keep, bless and strengthen you in your future endeavors.”

Olambe Area CDC also use the medium to remind the outgoing Undertaking Manager to prioritize and given urgent attention to uncompleted projects as part of his handing over note.

“I want to remind you to please include as matter of priority and urgent attention the following uncompleted assignment as part of your handing over note for your successor’s first call to duty here in Olambe Undertaking.

“(A). Olambe Feeder
A.1. List of the Community customers with KYC, awaiting free prepaid meters or MAP (optional) ( if MAP is the urgent solution to solve arbitrary estimated billings ahead Free prepaid meters, right thinking person will buy than to become debtors).

“2. The following Distribution Transformers (D T) that needs replacement or upgrading issues-;
a. Akeredolu Road/Ode Epo DT issue
b. Purposeful D T issue
c. Unity D T issue
d. Kambala DT issue
e. Koye Oke D T (out of use for sometimes), all the DTs mentioned above are On/Off days(sometimes blackout days).
f. Green House self help D T (awaits energizing for the past 2 years)
g. The promised to energise some CSP DTs hangs valueless on some poles across the Community.
h. Community that need concrete poles replacement
i. Lines replacement.
j. Special offer/ promised to assist on prepaid meters to Community Comprehensive High school, Olambe, Olambe Health Centre/ICT office and Olambe ACDC secretariat/So Safe Corps complex as they have suffered the reckless estimated Billings for long although they have done KYC.


  1. Same as in A.1 under Olambe Feeder.
  2. The following Distribution Transformers under Olambe Area CDC needs upgrading/replacement.
    a. Adam DT issue
    b. Ten Ten DT issue
    c. Others best known to your office under Sisters Area CDC. If possible concerned Area CDC to write officially here, the DTs with issues.
    d. The unfulfilled social responsibility as promised by BM Abule Egba to rehabilitate the IKEDC Olambe Undertaking frontage since January 2021 we didn’t see IKEDC greenlight as Olambe Area CDC through Road Management Committee have spent huge amounts to rescues / sustains the frontage from further damage.
  3. “C JOLASCO FEEDE 1.Same as in A.1 under Olambe Feeder2 . The only DT with minor complaints here is Busari DT. and prompt attention must continue under your successor.
  4. “Same as in A.1 under Olambe Feeder.
    2.The DTs fell under Olambe Undertaking are within Adiyan Alausa, Abule Ekun and Abule Osho Axis needs prompt attention when needs arise.

“Finally with this inclusive on top of the handing over note in front of the new Undertaking manager he/she will know that he/she inherited challenges that must be done and dusted before he/she can beat its chest for successful achievements whenever bid us farewell.
“Note that Olambe Area CDC, in particular, will not forget IKEDC Olambe Undertaking management under your leadership for attending Area CDC meetings with your management staffs whenever you’re invited, quick response to general complaints through social media platforms even though you don’t normally response on platforms but your accredited lieutenants normally do which is commendable.

“I hope the incoming Undertaking manager will inducted to emulate you by opening the door of his/her office for cordial, warmth receptions, coexistence and peaceful working relationships.
“Inconveniences that this expression may cause individuals or Groups are highly regretted. Thanks and God bless Nigeria, IKEDC and our Community.”

Engr. Adunmo has taken to IKEDC – Olambe WhatsApp Report Page on Thursday, 4th of December to announce that his tenure as the Undertaking Manager of Olambe has come to an end.

He said: “It saddens my heart to bid you all farewell. But like they say, every adventure has an end. My journey as the undertaking manager of Lambe undertaking, has come to an end.

“I want to say a very big thank you to all the CDC group CDA and CDA personalities that made my job more easy here. I appreciate you all.
“I will keep pushing for the fulfilment of all my commitments to you all and I wish you all the very best.

“Please show the same love and support u had shown me to my successor. I will be on the platform to introduce the new undertaking Manager of Lambe undertaking before finally taking my leave.

“I pray that the almighty will continue to keep and strengthen you all… In Jesus mighty name! Amen.”

Community Leaders and members of the platform who reacted to the announcement have this to say about him (Engr. Adunmo).

“My dear brother, we meet to part. We part to meet. You have made your own mark on the sand of time. The Lord will see you through in the journey of life. Your efforts in getting most of our people metered, will remain indelible in our hearts.
“You are a man with integrity and of a high moral standard. Wishing you well in your future endeavour. Farewell,” Chief Akanni said.

Another member known as Olayinka Olajo said; “Waoh Engr. Adunmo, you have raised the bar by giving majority of consumers under Olambe Undertaking prepaid meters. Wishing you all round success in your future endeavours. Congratulations sir. It is well with you and your family IJN Amen.”

” Everything works for good for those who love God. It is on record that it was during your tenure here as undertaking manager that consumers started having the long awaited Prepaid meters installed. May God be with you, give you the wisdom to succeed in future assignments. Amen. Wishing you continous and promotions in your career,” Samson Olushina asserted.
