Philanthropist construct 3 blocks of toilet in Legun Community School
A resident of Legun Community, a selfless woman and philanthropist, Alhaja Kehinde Usman Ere popularly called Alhaja Kenny has ease the plight of the pupils of Community Primary School, Legun in terms of hygiene by constructing 3 blocks of toilet in the school for pupils and teachers use.
In an interview with our correspondent, Alhaja Kehinde said she took it upon herself to construct the toilet with her resources when she discovered that the school lack toilet facilities. According to her, majority of the pupils usually defecate in the bush around the school, which is dangerous for them because snakes and other dangerous animals can be found in the bush.
When asked the advice she has for member of the community, she admonished community members to always contribute whatever they have within their capacity to the growth and development of the community adding there is reason why they find ourselves in this particular community.
Alhaja Kenny also show willingness and pledge to work with any member of the community who is ready to give back to the society saying the school really lack a lot infrastructure that the government have not put in place.
Community Primary School, Legun is located in Legun town, a rural community located in Agbado Oke Aro LCDA, Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun state. A resident of the community who confide in our correspondent said the school have just 3 teachers saying the school population have reduced drastically in recent times. She said reduction in population could be because of lack of infrastructural development and shortage of teachers. However, Community Gist have not been able to verify this claim as at the time of filling this report.
