KOA Education Foundation, a non governmental organization based in Ogun state who work on Sustainable Development Goals 4 (Quality Education) has taken a step further in her quest to attain quality education for all by providing free public library for pupils and students in Agbado – Oke Aro and environs.
The founder of the organization, Mrs Akintomiwa Kafilat Olanike in a whatsapp chat with our correspondent thank God for the success record so far on the project and also appreciate everyone who have contributed one way or the other to the project.
“We thank God for the success and we appreciate the efforts of our sponsors, crew members, volunteers, our fans and everybody. KOA Education Foundation main goal is quality education. We are trying to attain quality education for all, we are trying to make it possible for people to have quality education for the growth and development of the nation, Akintomiwa said.”
According to her, the library which is located at Gideon Bus Stop, off Berger-Ijoko road is meant to serve pupils and students in Giwa, Oke Aro, Agbado, Olambe, Gideon, etc. “If you live in Giwa, Oke Aro, Agbado, Olambe, Gideon, you can come to the library centre and register to pick up the library ID card. Registration and library ID card is free. For now the library will be opening on Fridays (3pm – 7pm), Saturdays and Sundays (10am – 6pm).”
She also admonished pupils and students to patronize the free library in order to improve their reading skills and to widen their horizon. “We encourage pupils and students to come and read so that they can improve and have access to educational materials because there are lot of books in the library you can have access to. Pupils and students that their parents cannot afford to get them text books can also come to the library, pick up text books to do their assignments and read. The location of the library is very conducive and safe, parents can come and see how the library look like and how safe it is because it is very safe, she asserted.”
