The inconclusive community youth football competition will be concluded this week – Comrade Taiwo

The maiden edition of Agbado Oke Aro LCDA Community Youth Football Cup that kicked start on 10th of February, 2018 but could not be concluded due to reason best known to the LCDA will be concluded this week.

Comrade Taiwo Olusegun who head the committee from office of the Honourable Vice Chairperson of Agbado/Oke-Aro LCDA; Hon. (Mrs.) Olagunju O. Adebo disclosed this to our correspondent in a whatsapp chat. According to him the semi finals will come up on Tuesday, 5th of March, 2019 between Orudu CDC FC and Ijoko-Lemode CDC FC as well as Akera CDC FC and IMA CDC FC, while the final and novelty match between Political Office Holders and Community Leaders will hold on Thursday, 7th of March, 2019 at African Church Primary School Agbado opposite Nigeria Police Force, Agbado Division by 2pm.

Taiwo, a media/PR consultant, community and youth leader also apologize on behalf of the stakeholders for break in the competition, adding that the situation was beyond their control. He said: “I appeal to all concerned about this competition to please forgive us, the LCDA authority or whoever might have offended you among the stakeholders, it’s a situation that was beyond our control at that time. Infact, if not this time that we found a favour from one of the prominent contestants in the forthcoming election on 9th of March that bailed us out since the LCDA toiling with this life saving initiative.

“I need to give kudos and appreciation to Hon. (Aare) Ganiyu Alani Oyedeji, current serving member of Ogun State of Assembly now a candidate of Allied Peoples Movement in the forthcoming Saturday, 9th March, 2019 election who has always been and ready to see the youth within his constituency enjoy every dividend of democracy and sportfully, Taiwo said.”

“Aside the trophies that show victories; a token of grand cash prizes are reserved for the best three teams. The personalities expected at the ceremony are party faithfuls, government functionaries, LCDA authorities, political office holders, community members and leaders among others, he added.”
