The Youths in Community Across Ifo Meets OGHA Minority Leader

Delegates of Youths in Community Development of Ifo Zonal CDC paid a courtesy visit to one of their representatives in OGHA; Hon. Aare Ganiyu Oyedeji aka GOCO on Saturday, 20th of July, 2019 at his office in Agbado.

Hon. Ganiyu Oyedeji is the Minority leader in the 9th legislative chamber on the platform of Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for second term in office.

The visit according to the Zonal Youth Leader; Comrade Taiwo Olusegun said, it was mandated from state senatorial forum that all Zonal meet their representatives as soon as possible for familiarization, creating more awareness about the youth arm of the community development, express congratulatory message and share ideals.

Comrade said, Hon Ganiyu is their representative from Ifo 2 constituency and after contacted, he fixed a meeting date while the Ifo1 constituency representative; Rt. Honourable Olukunle Taiwo Oluomo the present 9th legislative speaker pledged to meet the group soonest.

He further stated that the youth arm of the community has come to stay in Ifo with full structure like her parent body under the Zonal CDC Chairman; Prince G.B Adebanjo. “Some of us have been in the youth or/and community system for years before now like NYCN, CDC/CDA but with the official declaration; Youth in Community Development sometimes last year, we are fully glad and set to compliment the initiative. Taiwo added.”

Other delegates also voiced out most especially to appreciate the honourable for fulfilling his words during electioneering process promised their communities like Ifesowapo/Odubale/Onibudo, Baale-Akinosi, Araromi/Oke-Odo and so on water borehole, rehabilitation of classrooms, health center, blocks assistance, cash assistance among others.

The group equally appealed for support/passing of bills favouring youth on job opportunities, agriculture, loans, politics etc. Also, his political influence, sagacity and position as minority leader to make moves on bad roads, state of school buildings and necessary needs for basic education of the little ones, subvention/grant for community members effort and full recognition of the body at all level like other organizations in term of participation in the happenings of his constituency, project report briefing or town hall meeting, slotting, programs and other benefits.

In his response, the minority leader appreciated the group for such gesture and compliment despite the tight schedules and distance. Also, give kudos to his party men and woman across the constituency present with him, for their contributions and advises given to the youth group.

Honourable Alani Oyedeji in reacting to challenges posed to him on law making, implementation and enquiries stated that all the needful will be in line especially laws that promote youth benefits. He called for support from the group for him to pass. On bad roads, he described government as a continuity for better life like that of roads, massive projects like the previous state government had embarked on. He added that if the current state administration is set to work, the roads are also major concerns among others in the state especially in the constituency.

He promised his continuity in sponsoring members of the community, political allies and the likes to shasha training course(s) periodically. In the same kind, five (5) slots were given to the youth group in the forthcoming Sha Sha course slated for 6th of August this year.

Also, He vowed a sum of ten thousands naira monthly support like he did for National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) previous tenure. Aare assure the group inclusive in his program and activities under his reign as member representing Ifo 2.

The youth group leader thanked Hon Ganiyu for this laudable support given at their first instance surprisingly. Briefly, he presented their token gift to Hon. (Mrs.) Olagunju Toyin to hand over to Hon. Aare Ganiyu Alani Oyedeji on behalf of the group with pictures.

In attendance were delegates from Emilajulo ACDC-Ifo, Ifetayo/Pakoto ACDC-Coker/Ibogun, Baale-Akinosi ACDC, Denro-Ishasi ACDC and Ifesowapo/Odubale/Onibudo ACDC in Isheri/Ajuwon, Opeilu ACDC, Agbado ACDC and Akera ACDC from Agbado/OkeAro while from GOCO tram were Hon. Davies Toyeeb; Alh. Deniz party constituency 2 Secretary, Hon. Toyin Olagunju.

On the other hand, the group said they look forward to receiving convenient date, time and venue for his Rt. Honourable Taiwo Olakunle Oluomo. Taiwo said the group is an apolitical and constituency unbound so same must be done. Infact, “The speaker elegant gift is set and we will send it to him after waiting for a while, Taiwo opined.”
