“To God be the glory, all the CDAs in this group are performing well. It is worthily to note that all the CDAs in my group always carried out one project or the other every year, e.g purchase of concrete pole with aluminum cable, street light, drainage, grading of roads and security issues except Ifesowapo CDA that is lagging behind.
“Group Joint Project: Universal One have a project which is 500KVA ABB transformer purchased and installation in progress. The project worth about 5.3 million naira of which we have purchased all the high and low tension poles, all aluminum cables and some of the installation materials, but we still need an amount of 1.6 million naira to complete the project, I therefore appeal to those members who has not pay their levy towards the project to do so for all of us to enjoy good electricity in our community.
“Road: All the roads within the group are pass able and we are making effort in fixing the only one that has been giving us problem, even our major road from Matogbun to Spring Estate CDA are still motorable.
“Sir it is very painful to me that for the past four or five years now I have been asking for certificate for some of our CDAs and I cannot get them up till the time I am leaving the office and I don’t know what would happen after this hosting to those CDAs but I pray that good thing will happen to them by the grace of God (Amen).
“As I told you last year during our hosting that the year 2019 will be a powerful year and that power must change hand in peace and harmony so shall it be by the grace of God, its starting from Universal One today, and so shall it be in all our community and in Nigeria as a nation may God Almighty help us (amen).
“Mr chairman let me inform you that the new executive of Universal One are ready and I want you to pray for them, my humble chairman it is Universal One culture that we always give prize every year to three CDAs that regularly attending our group meeting every month so we will like you to help us present gift to 1st 2nd 3rd CDA for year 2018.”
The chairman, Matogbun Area CDC, Deacon O. M. Olapade while reacting to the welcome address of the Group Chairman admonished the group to work more on securing, adding that all CDAs should employ the service of night guard. On the issue of certificate, the chairman have this to say “I also feel the pains of the CDAs on delay of their certificate and I promise that they will get their certificate soon as we are working on mechanism that will ease the process of getting certificate. The delay was due to change of career officers.”
Politicians who are jostling to represent the people of Ifo constituency II at Ogun State House of Assembly were also present at the meeting to seek support and vote of the people. Candidate of Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Hon Ganiyu Alani Oyedeji aka GOCO as well as the candidate of Solicialist Party of Nigeria (SPN), Comrade Hassan Taiwo Soweto were at the meeting with their teeming supporters. The people welcome and pray for both of them.
Our correspondent at the meeting reported that, although, there is no rancor at the meeting between the two candidates and any of their supporters but the duo didn’t not greet each or behave as if they see each other. The question now is did the candidates don’t know each other or they are playing politics with bitterness?
Other activities at the meeting include presentation of prizes to the most punctual CDAs in Universal One; which are Spring Estate CDA (1st), New Era CDA (2nd) as well as Joyful CDA (3rd) and swearing-in of new executives of the group.
