YAPI Foundation visit political office holders in Ifo
In a bid to reduce the communication gap between political office holders and the youths in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State, a non governmental organization known as Youth Ambassador for Positive Impact Foundation has paid a courtesy visit to the Transition Chairman of Ifo Local Government, Hon. Fatiu Folawewo Salami and Honourable representing Ifo 2 at Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Ganiyu Alani Oyedeji.
The National President of YAPI Foundation, Amb. Olayemi Paul in an Whatsapp chat with our correspondent said the motive behind the visitation is to let political office holders aware that there is a youth foundation that is closely monitoring their activities.
His words: “Motive behind Yapi Foundation visitation to Political office holders in Ifo local government is to let our politicians know the existence of a Youth Foundation that is closely monitoring the activities of each political leaders on development issues across the local government council.
“The outcome of our visit is very productive because it helps us in gathering some vital information about development exercise that is not open to all community members. By visiting our politicians we have enough time to understand the challenges facing them as well in various offices they occupied and we can be able to reason together with them on a matter like that.”
However, Olayemi is optimistic that the organization’s visit will contribute in no small measure to the growth and development of Ifo Local Government Area.
“Our visitation will had more values to developmental programs in Ifo Local Government because as soon as political office holders in Ifo understand they are closely monitored by youths across the community, it will give them the right thinking that much are expected from them and it will stand as a chance to work in a positive manner that will make the people of the community enjoy the dividends of democracy in their various locations.
“I think our move will not only raise the hope of people in Ifo but will also give our people assurance that they have voices demanding for good governance on their behalf and I believe one day we shall get to where a selfless leader will see that good governance is our right and can be done without favorism of any type.”
