Community agog as Adiyan Alausa Youth host Xmas party

26th December 2019 was indeed a joyous day for the people of Adiyan Alausa Area Community Development Committee (CDC) particularly the children as the youth wing of the Area CDC organized Christmas party in order to bring people together.

The event which was held at the Adiyan Alausa open field was well attended by prominent personalities as well as community leaders such as Engr E O Soetan ( Baale of Olowo town), Mrs. Soetan, Rev. Dr. J B Adesola ( Adiyan Alausa Area CDC chairman), Mr. Ademosu ( chairman Adiyan Alausa CDA), Deaconess Ogundepo, Comrade Tobi ( Araromi Oke Odo ACDC Youth Rep), Comrade Bolaji (Agbado Area CDC Youth Rep), Comrade Adekunle Obasa (Olambe Area CDC youth Rep) as well as Comrade Kehinde Olusesi (Adviser, Adiyan Alausa Youth Wing).

The Youth Coordinator of Adiyan Alausa Area CDC, Comrade Taofeek Adebesin in a chat with our correspondent said the Xmas fun fair is meant to unite the people of the community by coming together to felicitate irrespective of their religion or ethnicity.

“Being a Muslim, I have my own identity and roles in the society, we should be a good example to other, Islam urges us to be kind with all people without any kind of discrimination due to differences in faith or race, especially when its has to do with leadership in community, you have to bring oneness to the community. To be honest with you, I have heard so many speculations that if truly am a Muslim.

“A lot of energy goes into dividing people rather than uniting them and focusing on what makes people different, rather than celebrating what makes us the same, and this is why we did the Xmas fun fair. We have to live an example life for others to follow by sharing message of unity and love that will inspire others to reach out, share their own stories of the beautiful things that they see in this world. Community has to do with different people with different faith, and we have to respect that, Taofeek added.”
