Sick Kids Appeal provide free health care service for children in Ketu

In a bid to give back to society and to fulfill their mandate of providing free health care services to children living in deprived or underserved communities, a non-governmental organization known as Sick Kids Appeal has organized a free eye screening exercise in Oko Agbon, Agboyi Community, Ketu in Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State.

The outreach, which was tagged “Future Visions” was held on the 14th of August, 2021 in accordance with LEAP Africa Youth Day of Service to commemorate the  International Youth Day. 48 children benefitted from the eye screening exercise, while 67 eye medications were distributed among children who needed them and 24 pair of eyeglasses was also gifted out.

The Project Lead, Muhammed Husseni in a chat with our correspondent said the project is meant to give easy accessibility to free quality eye care service for children living in deprived communities.

Sick Kids Appeal is a non-governmental organization established in 2018 to help alleviate child poverty through the provision of quality healthcare services to children living in deprived communities.

So far the organization has impacted the lives of 110 children through their community medical outreach and individual medical project.
