LCYDI visited Agege, Ifako Ijaiye, Oshodi Isolo and Mushin LGAs

In a bid to foster the relationship between the youths and Local Government Administration, Lagos Community Youth Development Initiative (LCYDI) under the leadership of Amb. Akanni Micheal has made a Special Working Visit to Local Government Areas within the state. In the week 1 of the visit that started on the 8th and lasted till 12th of March, the team visited four Local Government Areas; Agege, Ifako Ijaiye, Oshodi Isolo as well as Mushin Local Government.

The Leadership of LCYDI are well received by the Executive Chairmen of the Council areas. The other members among the state Team are State Deputy Chairman, Comrade Dele Moses, Vice Chairman Lagos West, Mr. Olaibi Emmanuel, State Secretary, Builder Isiaka Kazeem, Treasurer, Comrade Olamibo Ikuomola and Local Government Coordinating Executive members.

In the meeting with Council Bosses, The State Chairman explained in details the reasons for the visit – expectations from the local government and how both the government and youth in the community can benefit from the activities of the organization. The team requested from the Council Chairmen to support and be the host for LG Community Youth Town Hall Meeting in each LG and LCDA across the state, for the youths within the LGA to present their demands before the authority.

The Council Chairmen addressed the community youths after understand the reason for the visit. Youths were compel to be law abiding and promise to always give necessary support to the youth through different empowerment across board without any discrimination.

The State Team also visited some identified Community Stakeholders, The Traditional rulers, Seriki Hausa and identified Corporate establishments within the local government areas.

On behalf of the LCYDI, The State Leadership presented to Council Chairmen and also other identified stakeholders visited, Organization Banneret for the purpose of Collaboration and partnership toward Youth and Community development.
