Ifo constituency 2 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ogun State House of Assembly (OGHA) candidate, Abdulfatai Adewunmi has berated Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for not prioritising the welfare of workers in the state.

Reacting to the indefinite strike embarked upon by the Ogun State workers, Abdulfatai who is also the Asiwaju of Agbado Land noted that the government is making life difficult for public employees by deducting from their salary.

He noted that a government that prioritises the needs of people would have averted this industrial action because it is the least action the people deserve at this time of harsh economic circumstances.

“As a matter of fact, no one will query the workers for demanding the full payment of their salaries with the current reality we are facing in the country.

“The workers deserve better welfare and attention because they are key players in the socio-economic development of the State.

“The government need to honour the agreement they signed with Organised Labour in September 2020. It is that simple and a great leader should care for his workforce.”
