Students showcase Mathematics and English knowledge at MECSS -19
Junior and senior secondary school students in Adiyan Alausa Area CDC and environs came out in their large number to showcase their academic knowledge at Adiyan Alausa Youth in Community Development 2019 Mathematics and English Competition for secondary schools.
The event which was held on Friday, 28th of June, 2019 at Jolasco was well attended by several schools in and around the community as well as community leaders such as Engineer E. O. Soetan and Alhaji Koko.
The Youth Leader of Adiyan Alausa Area CDC, Comrade Taofeeq Adebesin in an interactive session with our correspondent thank God for the success of the programme saying the main purpose of the programme is to encourage the students as students of nowadays need to be encouraged so that they can do well.
“This programme will add a lot of values to the students because those that perform very well will be proud of themselves and this will also encourage their peers to do same. The overall winner of the competition will be Adiyan Alausa face, Taofeeq added.”
He then admonished students to keep reading saying if you want to be a leader you must be a reader.
Comrade Taiwo Olusegun, Ifo Zonal CDC Youth Leader have this to say “I wish to state that, this program has shown to all that community has gone beyond sha!!! roads construction, electrification project etc with the involvement of Youth in the system”
At the end of the competition, Agbiboa Osi of Royal Path School, Adebisi Ojumorayo of De Toag School as well as AbdulSalam Zainab of Riyad Saliheen College came third, second and first respectively in the junior category. While Akabua Faith of Isaac Newton School took 3rd position, Ajala Jeremiah of He Lives Group of Schools came 2nd and Oyegbile Gbolahan of Life Moulder School emerged first at the senior category.
