The CEO of Garu Technologies Nigeria Ltd and a prominent Islamic scholar, Alhaji Lookman Garu had admonished Islamic clerics or scholars to start adding values to their congregations or followers, saying adding values to them (congregations) is the only way to sustain the relationship between them.

Alhaji Lookman stated this while delivering his lecture titled “Islamic youth: tools for Islamic resurgence” at the annual Pre Ramadan lecture of Raodat Jannat Islamic Society of Nigeria held on Sunday, 28th of April, 2019 at Egbeda, Lagos.

He said Islamic Scholars usually admonished Muslims to always pray to Allah but always forget to tell them that they should work hard and smart too adding that Islam didn’t encourage laziness. He also said that the reason why women usually outnumber their male counterpart at most Islamic events is because Islamic scholars of today add more values to them (women) than men.

“Islamic scholars are sitting on gold but don’t know how to mine it. Anywhere we have large number of people coming together is always an avenue to make money in such gathering, which means our various mosque is an avenue for Islamic scholars to earn money but they need to create wealth for their congregations first by empowering them, in return, they (congregations) will be able to cater for the mosque expenditure and take care of the Islamic scholars, he added.”
