With bags full of clothes, food items, detergents among others in their hands, the Oshodi Noble Heritage stormed on Saturday the Lagos State Destitute Home to gift the less privileged home.
It was a rousing welcome by inhabitants of the home on sighting members of the ONH with their bags, some quickly rushed to help them lift to the home while others while already on the queue waiting to receive the items.
Their hopes were not dashed as the organisation presented the gifts to leaders of the home for onward distribution to the waiting inhabitants of the home.
The team led by its Coordinator, Mr Abdulfatah Ogunnaike presented the items in different bags to both the chairman and secretary of the home.
While presenting the materials, Ogunnaike said it is the way of Oshodi Noble Heritage to bring laughter into the minds of the less privilege in the society.
He said the presentation is an annual thing that the organisation has taken upon itself to always assist the less privileged.
He said, “The giving of these materials to the destitute home is one of the ways we are using to assist the less privilege in our communities. We know that one of the best ways of touching lives is through giving and that is why we are doing this, it is an annual thing we do just as we always do widows empowerment programme every year to alleviate their sufferings.”
Also speaking, former Coordinator of the Oshodi Noble Heritage, Otunba Abdulhakeem Opadijo said there is no alternative to helping the needy if one wants peace of mind and blessings from above.
Opadijo said Oshodi Noble Heritage would continue on the path of helping the people in the communities to bring succour to them.
